So, it has been almost a week since I got engaged to my best friend! :) I absolutely love Christmas, but now I think that it is going to be even more special now! :) Life is sooo amazing right now! I can’t even explain how I feel right now! I can’t stop smiling, my cheeks hurt so bad! :) hehehe….
Well, apart from my engagement, I have been so busy with getting Christmas gifts, and being with my family! Just recently my Journey Group decided to help out 1-year-old twins that are now being raised by their Grandma with 3 other siblings that are all under 4. It is insane! I am just so happy that we got to help out during this time of need! It feels so good to give!!!
ANYHOO, next week is Christmas, and I am soooo excited!! I get to spend time with my family, and my future in-laws! :) And than, It is planning a wedding time for me! :) :) Man my life is good! :)

Ok, so here’s how it happened. Rachel was singing at church (12/14/08) which I’d thought before would be a good time because it would be easy to bring people to Cartersville. So her family, my family, and a good friend (Brandon Bray) and his wife were at church. So afterwards, Rachel’s family took her to go eat while I was tearing down at church (we meet at a movie theater). So afterward, Brandon and I went to a trail head that Rachel and I like to hike and dropped my truck off there, went to buy some flowers and buy some quick food. So by this time, Rach is calling asking where I am and saying that she’s going to come get me at church and I’m trying to convince her that I’ll be there shortly. So I’m supposed to meet everybody at 2 o’clock at the trailhead. Rachel is getting impatient with her family and doesn’t know what’s going on. So I call her father just after 2 and tell him to give her a letter that I had prewritten telling her to come to the trail head while we start hiking up the trail. I had placed some of her hiking shoes and a jacket in my truck that she could put on, with another letter (she was wearing boots with heels to sing in, yeah, not good to hike in). So about a 10th of a mile in there is a fork in the trail and I left Kevin and Sunshine there to give Rachel flowers, give her another letter and pray over her. And then they were suppose to keep hiking. At the .5 mile mark, I left 4 of Rachel’s friends (Tracy, Mache, Amanda, and Bekah) to give her flowers, another letter, and pray over her. Then at about the .8 mile mark, I left 2 of my friends (another one was coming but his daughter got sick) to give Rachel more flowers, a letter, and pray over her. Then they walked up to the summit where I was waiting and I pulled her over to a rock on the top of the Pine Mountain Trail (in Cartersville) and asked her to marry me and be my wife. Then we all hiked down and our families were waiting in the parking lot. And than we all went over to Kevin and Sunshine’s house to have an engagement party! So…that’s how it happened…! WAHOO I’m engaged!

Alright, so about a month or two ago my family received a phone call about my Aunt Kelly! We were told that she has Metastatic cancer. It is a type of breast cancer that attacks the bones. A lot like bone cancer. Well with the new technology and every they have this stuff (not chemo) to help her, and it has been very affective in other women. So she has started it for about a month now! She has good days and bad, and now she is in a state-of-mind that she knows that God has a plan for her! She has hope in that God has helped her pro-long her life. Whether it be a couple of months or 10 years. Which is so awesome! SO prayer is a must!
My prayer is that God helps her live as long as she can, and as painless as possible! She and my uncle have three kids, Rose (7), Jake (4), and Anna (4). So please keep them in your prayers as Kelly progresses through the medicine she is taken, and that it helps her live life as long as she can….

Ever since I can remember I have been singing. My mom still has a tape of me singing “Jingle Bells” while running around in a circle over and over and over again, I probably sounded like a broken record. I am still surprised that I didn’t throw up while singing. My sisters would always tell me to “shut up” because I would never stop singing. I would sing in the car, in the store, in the house, in the shower, while I was sleeping. I probably came out of my mothers womb singing. It really wouldn’t surprise me! BUT, I say all of this to you because this is my passion! Some people have a gift of cooking, some people have a gift of teaching, well God gave me the gift of singing. I can’t stop! I won’t stop! I have the coolest times with God when I sing. It is like no one can touch me, like I have this huge bubble around me, everything in my life stops for a split second just so I can be with Him. God is the most amazing, omniscient man! I might not be the best singer, but what I do know is that God has brought me on this earth to share His love and that is by me singing!! :) So by George, I am going to sing! :) SOLELY FOR HIM! :)
I have thought about this before, but never really expressed it out loud..
How can God make sooo many different faces? I mean not one person is alike. Not even identical twins have the exact same face, there is always something different even if it is a small difference. I am sooo surprised that God hasn’t run out of ideas for a new face. I really do wonder what he think when he is creating a new person. “OOOO I haven’t done this one before….Lets stretch out the nose a little and give them big eye lashes, and lets make them have freckles, and etc.” Our God is SOOO big!! Making different faces is probably nothing to him. I just LOVE it! My good friend, Sara, pin pointed it the other day. GOD IS THE ULTIMATE ARTIST! He is amazing! He is all knowing! Nothing is to hard for him!

Why? Why? OH WHY, did I decide to take a Sat. class???? I could have watched Ryan, my better half, run his race in Peachtree this morning. Which he did very well! Man I am so proud of him, I wish I had more motivation like he does. He is soooo inspiring! :) 9 miles would have killed me, probably literally…hehe! I just wish I was there is see him finish!!! :)
Anyways, so yesterday was a great day! I went out with my GREAT GREAT friend Lizzy, and her best friend Taylor (she is so awesome). Than we went to Revolution Church because Taylor, assistant of Gary (the pastor there), needed to get make-up put on him. Man that makes me laugh! Than we went shopping which is ALWAYS a stress reliever!! Than, I went to go and pick up Amanda Frisbee from her work in Cartersville because her car broke down!! She had a interesting night!! But we turned it around with Flamingo’s, yummmmmmmm, and girl talk!! :) Than I went home and crashed! I just love busy/fun days! :)
Michael started a new topic today called “Supermodel.” Michael talked about how to be a model Christian. It was very good! I sang today with Will and the band! It was fun, considering I was sick! I really didn’t have a voice, but I just focused on God and stuck with it. I am glad that I did. It is so rewarding to sing for Jesus!! :) Can’t wait until next week and see what God has in store for the Leaf! :)
Ok I just want to brag on some friends of mine. I REALLY don’t know what I do without them. First off, Frisbee, you are amazing! Thanks so much for talking ALL day yesterday, and letting me vent and being there for me. Bekah, thanks for being so sweet and inspiring, and encouraging me all the time! Mache, you are the greatest! You have the best heart! Tracey, you are the best! Thanks for listening, and being there for me! I wish we lived closer together! Lizzy, well we have been through a lot. You are awesome! I love you!
I really could go on and on because I have the sweetest more incredible friends in the world! I love them, and I know that if I truely needed them at any time that they would be there! :)

Umm, so I am very nervous about tonight! I don’t know how ya’ll feel about this whole election situation. All I can say is that the final decision of this election is in God’s hands now. If He chooses Obama, than He chooses him. He has a reason, a purpose, and a plan for our future. I just pray that this country will stay sane while we go through this HUGE change.
